Now, 10 monthes later, I am once again unemployed and was able to take the time to figure out the password I had forgotten 10 monthes ago. So here's the update on my life.

1. Quit job to take new job in August
2. Quit new job in September
3. Doing Promos at Whole Foods and Wild Oats a few hours a day while job searching
4. Moving once again to a new apartment with new roomate
5. considering puppy as usual
6. Realizing I hate moving and vow never to move again as I do every time I move
7. Brainstorming of ideas on how to not work, travel, and perhaps support a puppy

So, there it is. Another exciting day in the life of Jenna. I promise to update more often. I will leave you with a picture of Ryan Adams and I from his tour this summer.

Mandy requested a blog!

My friend Mandy pointed out that I needed to post an updated blog, but I don't have time at the moment so I am posting the e-mail she sent me instead.

Dear Super Nugget,
I will call you Super Nugget. I actually took this picture in Denver while driving with my friend Beth. I honked at him when I pulled up and he jumped and kinda looked at me funny. Beth thinks my honk was a bit aggressive and may have frightened him. I figured a good strong honk was in order for peace. Also, if you are going to hold up a sign that says "honk for peace" you should not have a fear of honking horns.

Anywhom, I went snowboarding again last weekend.......let me caution all those who are not firmilar with the traffic on I70 to take note. Given, we risked our lives to go board in the midst of a snowstorm, but we ended up driving a total of 7 hours there and back which should be a total of 3 hours. If that weren't enough fun, one of my best friends here, and I won't name names, is terrified of driving in the snow. Add to that not eating all day, some sort of weird freezing of the inside windows of my car, and one spot my windsheild wipers seem to miss due to having been run over by another car(another long story). So, hunched over with my 5 by 5 inch view of the road we made it home. Although it was trying, in the end all was right when we made it back to Boulder and drank delicous nitro java porters at the Southern Sun.

Happy Halloween

So I had a great Halloween in Boulder. I have been in full Pippy form for almost 3 days straight. First, to the Fox where the Motet covered Madonna. If your ever in Boulder for Halloween, this is the place to be. The next morning we headed to Arapahoe Basin for my first day snowboarding. The easiest way I have found is to point your board downhill and go with it. We fell a lot, but comforted ourselves by boosing in the parking lot and cooking up some brauts with some fellow boarders. To end our weekend we celebrated my good friends Laura Ann's (Chiquita Banan Lady) Birthday with a break dancing party and Jack Daniels. It was a good weekend.

Other news in Jenna's world:
1. Same job in sales in the natural supplements industry.
2. The Buckeyes are undefeated
3. I feel like I have all this energy and creativity in my body that can't get out through monotnous workouts. After talking to a co-worker (also a former NIA instructor) I decided to take the Saturday morning class..
So what is NIA? "Nia is an expressive movement practice that uses The Body's Way to achieve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness and well-being." So let me explain... I walk into a class with a bunch of strangers and no instruction. They basically tell me to let lose and rock out. Next thing I know I feel like I am at a Phish show where everyone is f**** up and dancing like crazy while completely unaware of their sourroundings.... I'm not f*** up and feeling out of place so naturally I'm a little nervous, but after deciding I didn't care if I looked like an idiot... I let go.
I reached I new head space of freedom beyond just fitness. We whirled around and danced like little kids. It felt really good to let your body be expressive as we are constantly controlling every move it makes. It was really cool, and an amazing workout, and I just wanted to let all of you who are bored with your workout to give it a try.

Disclaimer: sorry for being so damn headie in the blog entry. I immediately walk to the jute box as usual, pop in 2 bucks and start choosing songs. Without thinking or even looking around I start the night off with Bob Marley's "three little birds." As soon as I did it I looked around and realized these folks were probably not big rasta fans. My brother scolded me and we proceeded to make a playlist in the jute box to redeem ourselves with the locals. The first song we picked was "My Hometown" by Bruce Springsteen. We watched as the locals whistled and quitely sang along....we were in. Every night after while we at the lake we would go to Rack attack, drink cheap beer, and listen to Bruce. We will be buring a cd of the nights playlist for all those interested.

Lake Erie with the fam..

It was another night at the lake. We all sat outside drinking drambui and watching the sunset. We caught up on life, laughing, making memories. This trip to the lake may have seemed the same as any other, but this was the last trip we would make to the lake with my grandpy. We sat and watched the sunset like we always did as Grandpy sang us songs in Czech about the "old country" and coming to America for a better life of "drinking coffee and whiskey."
How blessed am I to have had this final time to enjoy my grandpa...how blessed to have roots, a family who loves me, memories of laughter and joy, my freedom to pursue my dreams and passions. The week at the lake was bittersweet reminding me of what a beautiful gift we have to live this life.

Colorado thus far....

What can I say to sum up the expeience thus far? Here's my best attempt..

1.My brother, my best friend, one of the best guys I know. His friends, also wonderful guys. Just good people...no drama. Home brews, southern sun, good vibes, every night is an adventure with these kids.

2. My bike..refer to previous blog.

3. Job..got layed off today. 24 hours notice. Position has been eliminated. Keeps things interesting. I did meet some amazing people.
Cherise, we are starting a raw foods business together. Amazingly interesting person. Simply one of the headiest people I have met ever.
Sam, I can't even figure out how old this guy is because he acts 21, amazing guy, stylin, single, lovin life, has mastered the art of being young.

4. My garden... I had dinner last night with all the veggies we grew. It's amazing...I planted it, nurtured it, watered it, and it actaully grew. I would have never guessed the satisfation I would get out of growing my own food, but there is nothing like eating your own veggies.

5. Good times...it's been good times, good food, good beer, and good company in Colorado. I have met some really amazing people and have learned a lot about myself.........I think Colorado will be homebase for a while as I will continue to let the good times roll!!!

Cheers to you all!

My thoughts....

Tell me, what is it you plan to do

with this one wild and precious life?"

-Mary Oliver

A Ride to Work

My new bike cost me 5 bucks at a garage sale. It squeaks, rattles, and takes around 15 seconds for the brakes to make the bike stop, but even though she is old and rusty I still love her.
This morning I took my bike to the Canyon trail next to my house to get to work. It was the best 10 minutes of my week...the trail twists along this little creak where the other bikers smile as they pass(or they are making fun of my loud bike). It was an epic cruise....the whole way I was thinking of nothing, living, loving the now, I wanted to be no where else in the world but on my little old bike. It was like the world gave me a gift today, and I remember how much the small things in life matter.

"Do not think I am not grateful for your small
kindness to me.
I like the small kindnesses.
In fact I prefer them to the more
substantial kindness."
-Louis Gluck

PostSecret

PostSecret

Tillin'

<img style="DISPLAY: block;
